Washington DC - Day 3 and 4

DAY THREE
First thing in the morning we got in line to visit the National Archives. The line was filled with so many tour groups....aka 8th grade hooligans....plus it was freezing! It seemed to take forever to get inside. It was very interesting to see the Declaration of Independence and all the goes with it. Worth the wait.

Next we walked to the Old Post Office for lunch...with all the 8th grade hooligans. Then we took the elevator to the tower for great views of DC.

From there we walked to The White House. We didn't get a tour inside but the ground were beautiful. We ended the day at The White House Information center.

That night we were done early and not too tired so we went to see Date Night, it was hilarious!

DAY FOUR
Air and Space Museum all day....really. We started the morning with a quick stop at The Smithsonian Castle, it is simply beautiful!

Then we headed to the Air and Space Museum. I knew Kevin would take awhile but all day!!! We did see the IMAX, "To Fly" it was good. Then we saw so many planes. I finally had to take a break on a chair and literally fell to sleep! Kevin was in heaven and loved every minute of it. Kevin took pictures of everything, not kidding...so here are a few for your viewing pleasure.

We walked back to our hotel via the Capital. It was a long walk after walking around the museum all day. That night we met up with my cousin Josh again and he drove us out to meet with my Aunt Rosie and Uncle Tom and their son, my cousin Peter, and his wife Jen. We ate a delicious dinner. It was great to see them and meet Jen for the first time.

I really like the air and space, but all day, that is a bit over the top. We have eaten at the old postal offices as well. Perfect little spot between the Archives and the White House.
