mmm Yummy!

We live in a new neighborhood, they are still building houses. Since we moved in at lunch time there are often burrito trucks going around the neighborhood offering food to the construction workers. I often joked that my kids would think it was normal for burrito trucks to roam your neighborhood instead of ice cream trucks. Well it finally happened. The ice cream truck came. As soon as we could hear the music somehow Grant knew exactly what the music was! He, of course, instantly wanted ice cream. Leah followed right in. How could I deny them! We found some money and bought our $3.00 (each) ice cream. The kids were in pure bliss. I was happy they finally got to experience the long honored traditional of an ice cream truck. Everyone was happy...well maybe not Kevin he was thinking what he could have bought with $6.00.

A couple of days later the ice cream truck was back. Again Grant and Leah begged and pleaded for more ice cream. It is a good thing I said "no" because that darn ice cream truck seems to come everyday!! One of my good friends, Paula, told me that she tries to tell her kids that when the ice cream truck plays music it is tell everyone it ran out of ice cream. I tried that on my kids with no luck.

I am seriously dying of laughter about Paula telling her kids about the ice cream truck playing music when it's out of ice cream - that's a good one! My kids flock to it every time it drives through our neighborhood, but we have yet to buy anything. And at $3 a pop, now I know why!
